Storm Tree Removal OKC

Signs a Tree May Be Dangerous

← Resources

What to look for before the next storm.

  • Large dead limbs or a thinning, dying crown.
  • Cracks or splits in the trunk, or a V-shaped union with a seam running down from it.
  • Mushrooms, conks or soft, crumbly wood at the base — signs of root or trunk decay.
  • A new or increasing lean, especially with soil heaving on one side.
  • Construction damage to roots within the past several years.
  • Hollow trunks or cavities.

Any of these over a house, driveway or play area justifies a professional assessment. An ISA Certified Arborist can provide a risk assessment independent of a removal bid.
